Step 1:

You can follow this step if you are going to work on a surface that is already painted. First, you need to remove the old paint using sandpaper. You can save time by using a paint stripper. During this step, you can apply any “bondo” to perform body repairs.

Step 2:

First, you should tape off the surface you want to paint. You can apply silver/chrome layers on top and then flat back on the sides.

After the first layer is dry, you should follow this step. A lace layer should be laid on the base layers. You can tighten the lace using a painters tape or paper clips. Next, you should opt for a color for the lace. For this, you should choose light colors.

After the drying process, you should go ahead and lay down a lace. Painters tapes or paper clips can be used for tightening the lace. It’s a good idea to opt for a lighter color for this step. The lace should be removed once the paint is dry.
